Father and daughter authors present Family Story Workshop and Reading
An old-timer at 91 years-young, Erwin Thompson, author of Cattle Country and Back Trail: Two Tales from Thompson Western Series, will be having two exicting promotional events in April, held at the Hayner Branch Library, at OASIS Alton Center, Alton Square Mall, in Alton, Illinois.
The events are: April 11 (1:00-4:00pm) – Thompson and his daughter, Janet Grace Riehl, hold a free workshop titled “Writing Your Family Stories,” to help people start their own family memory book. April 18 (2:00-4:00pm) – Thompson reads from his latest book, and talks about the writing process. Book signing to follow.
Just as a side note, Thompson’s daughter, Janet Grace Riehl, an acclaimed author herself, released her last book in 2006 titled Sightlines: A Poet’s Diary. We have had a chance to work with both father and daughter and hope you take some time to look into the works of these fantastic authors.
