Roses on your pillow at Hotel Carlton (from the hands of Theo McKinney)
That “30th anniversary” picture represents the usual welcome I like to surprise visitors with when they come to town to celebrate a honeymoon or romantic anniversary; the petals are real, and, whenever I can find out secretly in advance what the actual wedding flowers were, I try my best to get that flower and color to make the heart shape out of. Living in California makes so many things possible!
After all, the flower choice is usually such a personal one for the bride that I figure it will always resonate with the couple on some level if their same selection should suddenly magically reappear as a surprise when they first enter their room in a strange land. I get more tears that way! (Happy ones, of course) This picture was posted on tripadvisor.com by one of our stunned anniversary guests.
