How cool that you’re in Austin and having a great time! Some other places that you might enjoying visiting to eat out are the East Side Cafe which is not too far from where we used to live in Wilshire Woods (http://www.eastsidecafeaustin.com/) and Curra’s (http://www.currasgrill.com), both favorites of mine.

And BE SURE to visit Book Woman on 6th Street, which bills itself as the “only feminist bookstore in Texas (http://www.ebookwoman.com/NASApp/store/IndexJsp). I don’t know if that’s true or not, but it’s a great place.

Please put a link to Toma Mi Corazon in El Paso, too – it’s a cousin/prima to the Austin event that I helped create here, as a former President/Board Member, to support AVANCE, an extraordinary parent/child program for very low-income families in our community. Local artists have been extraordinarily generous and creative in their approach; you’ll get a kick out of their hearts.
