Riehlife Meditation on Bumps and Mountains…across the plains of our worlds—conversation starter and writing prompt
When one wrinkle is made smooth, I notice a bump beyond…in the distance…and want to go there and explore. What could that bump be? A mountain, perhaps? Or, just a molehill?
I see a vast plain, like a tapestry carpet stretching out before me…miles to the mountain.
I will journey over the plains, but need to not think it plain while fixated on the bump of the mountain arising in the distance.
The plain unfurls as a memory-imagination magic carpet. On Tolkien’s plain there are hamlets and hobbits. On the Serengetti there are dik-diks and gazelles running across the plain.
The bumps in the carpet. What lies there? A body is buried? dirt is swept under there? Bumps and lumps on our bodies, too, we explore size and density.
I see a vast plain, like a tapestry carpet stretching out before me…miles to the mountain.
