His Holiness the Dalai Lama is joined at this event by four distinguished panelists. In addition to the interaction of the panelists, you’ll see short videos on the panelists’ work. Here’s the link for April 11, 2008 session (9-11 PST) at University of Washington, moderated by Daniel Goleman, author of “Emotional Intelligence” The Scientific Basis of Compassion: What We Know Now & What We all Can Do inspired by Lama Tenzin’s vision. It’s being broadcast in 28 languages.
Emphasis on child development and good parenting for raising children who are compassionate and engaged.
Wonderful link to a beautiful project: Seeds of Compassion.
Genius in art is the result of emotional intelligence, which is our innate link to intuition, not a score on a mental abilities test where aptitude is measured as performance in an allotted time like a horse race.
Great choice of photo!
BTW: His Holiness the Dalai Lama visited the Jacques Marchais Tibetan Museum on Staten Island, New York, in 1991. The story of Jacques Marchais who founded the museum is also fascinating–http://www.tibetanmuseum.org
